The Mercedes-Benz 1623 bus chassis, crafted with German technology, has debuted by partnering with Rancon Trucks and Buses Limited in Bangladesh. This bus chassis was officially launched on 16th September at Tejgaon.
This remarkable chassis comes in two distinct variants, equipped with Mercedes-Benz’s powerful OM 906 engine, featuring a 6393 cc capacity and an impressive 810 Nm @ 1600 RPM. Its commanding 230 horsepower includes advanced parabolic and air suspension systems for an exceptionally comfortable ride.
During the launch event, Mr. Romo Rauf Chowdhury, Managing Director of Rancon Trucks and Buses Limited, said, “This chassis represents the ultimate choice for the development and progress of our country. Today, we are introducing two bus models that prioritize not only comfort. And safety. But outstanding fuel efficiency. With this chassis, we are ushering in a new era in Bangladesh.”
Providing a comprehensive insight into the Mercedes-Benz Bus Chassis, Mr. Sultanuzzaman Sajan, Executive Director, Rancon Trucks & Buses, explained, “Mercedes-Benz has a rich history of manufacturing top-tier bus chassis for 128 years, now offering unmatched quality. Available in Bangladesh.
Each cylinder in our chassis has a propeller shaft and retarder, which ensures improved safety and increased braking ability. An injection system operating at a high pressure of 1800 bar improves the combustion process, with the added benefit of engine-mounted compressors that effectively reduce noise and vibration.
Modern features like an interactive dashboard monitored by the ECU ensure unmatched safety in all driving situations. Additionally, a speed lock feature ensures compliance with speed limits.
